Where the Wild Ponies Roam

This painting is inspired by the mountains and coastline in south west Wales - specifically (what I think of as) 'the otherside' of Carn Lidi - where there are wild ponies and thier foals. They roam this area, where there are hardly any trees, just a few sparse hardy shrubs and the landscape is windswept and a little harsh. There is something magical about seeing wild animals in a space that we (humans) inhabit and roam too.

It is a 60x60cm canvas (framed size is apx. 70x70cm)
