How Do You Know This One Is For You?
I don’t always know who I’m painting for. Sometimes, it feels like I’m just following a thread—of colour, of feeling, of something unnameable. But then someone sees the piece and says, “That’s me.” Or, “That’s what I’ve been feeling but couldn’t say.” And I know the painting found its person.
It’s wild, really. How something that came from my insides can speak so clearly to someone else’s. As if the art was always meant to travel. As if it had a destination all along.
“Thats what keeps me going—not just the making, but the connecting. The quiet magic of resonance.”
The way a person can recognize a painting before they even realize why they’re drawn to it.
Art moves. Art finds its way. Sometimes, it even finds you.
When a Painting Finds Its Person
I believe paintings know where they want to go.
It might sound strange, but sometimes I feel like I'm just the in-between—the messenger, the midwife, the hands that help a feeling become form. And once the painting is born, it begins whispering, looking, calling for its person.
There’s a quiet kind of magic when someone stands in front of a piece and their eyes soften. Something shifts. Something lands. And I know—it’s found them.
Sometimes it’s immediate. Love at first sight. Other times, it circles back. Someone messages months later, saying, “I haven’t stopped thinking about it.” That’s how you know the connection is real. The painting has done its job. It found its home.
And just like that, it’s no longer mine. It never really was.

Art With a Soul (and a Mission)
Not every painting is for everyone. But when it's right—you feel it. It doesn’t matter what it “means.” It matters how it makes you feel. That’s how you know it’s speaking to you.
I’ve come to trust that the right pieces will find the right people at the right time. Whether it’s comfort, inspiration, or simply beauty—if it’s meant for you, you’ll know.
“It’s not about choosing the art. Sometimes, it’s the art that chooses you.”
Letting Go is Part of the Process
Releasing a painting is a strange and beautiful thing. I pour so much into it—time, emotion, memory—and then I let it go. Some pieces I enjoy so much I really feel extremely reluctant to pass them on. But I have a strange knowing that it's not just me I create for, that each piece is made just for the right person. It's going where it’s meant to be makes it easier. There’s peace in that.
When a painting finds its person, it’s not just a transaction—it’s a reunion.

✨ Have you ever felt a painting speak to you? One that wouldn’t leave your thoughts? I’d love to hear about it. Or… maybe one of mine has been waiting for you all along. [Browse available paintings here.] 💫
